An Innovative Solution to Administer General Assistance

SMS Project

We are going to form a task group to evaluate the new feature of  sending SMS messages to clients for appointment reminders, similar to your doctor' offices.

To participate in this task group, you will need to be able to do the following:

  1. Allocate a 1-2 hour(s) a weeks to review documents and meeting notes
  2. Participate in 1 conference call per week with a duration of 30-45 mins.
  3. Provide feedback and insight to the assistance process and assess the need for SMS messages.

Project concepts:

Ability for Townships to be able to send SMS messages to clients for appointment reminders.

  1. Admin setup for appointment types to be selected for SMS messaging
  2. Admin setup for number of SMS messages send per appointment
  3. Admin setup for time of day to send SMS messages (8am-8pm)
  4. Formulate message content for SMS messages in short concise wording to meet 140 character limit.
  5. Define logic for calculating what phone to use for SMS
  6. Define process to elect NOT to receive SMS messages per client.
